great amenities but small room

The budget small room was unexpectedly well equipped with thoughtful amenities. The local staff were consistently welcoming and well trained, enhancing my overall experience.

Unfortunately, the room size was quite cramped.

The spa facilities offer a range of options including various steam rooms and saunas, perfect for relaxation. The hot tub area is impressive, providing a great place to unwind after a long day.

The layout of the hotel can also be tricky to navigate due to insufficient signage, making it easy to get turned around.

Comfortable room, delicious breakfast, a welcoming bar/lounge area, with excellent room service after a long day and free Wi-Fi that made it easy to plan my city exploration.

Almost perfect.

The room was spacious and smelled great! Super comfy bed with nice Elemis products in the bathroom. Loved the little Tunnock bars with the tea, such a nice touch. Everything felt clean and fresh. You can really tell they put thought into the details. Can't wait to come back and enjoy it longer next time!

An unexpected upgrade to a spacious Superior Double Room made this stay delightful. The outdoor jacuzzi at the spa was a highlight of relaxation and the staff's polite and attentive service added to the experience. I found the gym facilities lacking. they seemed small and underwhelming compared to other amenities. the dining options could benefit from more variety, as I noticed limited choices during my visit.

We had an amazing time at the pool and spa, especially enjoying the steam room and sauna as a family. The staff were incredibly friendly. The breakfast spread was delightful, especially the poached eggs that everyone loved....  

I recently stayed at Fairlawns for a family getaway. The fitness facilities met my needs, allowing for great workouts. The spa area provided excellent relaxation for my wife while my sons enjoyed the pool. Minor noise from events didn’t overshadow our overall enjoyment.

The stay was a delightful retreat for my partner and me. We particularly enjoyed the spa facilities, which were serene and not overly crowded, making it a perfect getaway. The standout moment was dining on a fantastic six-course taster menu. each dish was beautifully presented and tasted incredible, though the service was a tad slow initially. it was a lovely experience, and we might consider returning for another relaxing break.

I stayed one night and the staff were super welcoming, which was a nice touch. My room was comfy, but the food was kinda disappointing. The dining experience felt overpriced for what we got. Enjoyed the bar/lounge area though! The prices didn’t match the quality, and the breakfast wasn’t fresh at all.

I appreciated the treatments at the spa, where I opted for a facial that was relaxing. The whole place felt like a retreat. I also enjoyed the afternoon tea, especially the homemade cakes. It's nice when the staff offers flexibility in the dining...  

Family with children will enjoy it

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. One of the highlights was the lovely afternoon tea where we weren't rushed and got to fully enjoy the experience.

It wasn't cheap but the overall experience made it worthwhile.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Fairlawns. The upgrade to a junior suite was a delightful surprise. The room felt spacious and beautifully decorated, with luxe details like a stylish kettle and a comfy bed. The spa facilities offered a range of choices that helped us unwind, especially after the sauna and steam room. The dining experience was another highlight. Each dish surpassed expectations, with beautiful presentation to match. on the downside, the service in the restaurant was noticeably slow at times. We had to be proactive in getting our drinks, which was a bit frustrating. while the hot tub was comforting, it lacked that hot water experience I hoped for. a lack of hard pillow options made sleeping a bit tricky for me.
